Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Lale Davidson
Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling

“There is nothing so desolate as a farm that lies fallow.” So begins the ghost story Lâle will be telling about a little girl left out in the cold, based on her family’s past in Pittsburgh, PA.

Lâle Davidson learned storytelling at her mother’s knee as they traversed continents in a Dodge camping van. While pursuing her doctorate at The University at Albany, she met Barbara Chepaitis and Cindy Parrish, and they formed The Snickering Witches, a collaborative storytelling group featuring folktales about strong women. Together they toured the Capital Region for ten years. Now she co-hosts the Caffè Lena Storytelling Open Mic with Jeannine Laverty

A professor of fiction writing and public speaking at SUNY ADK for 33 years, she has published four books: a collection of short stories called Strange Appetites and her three novels, Blue Woman Burning, Against the Grain, and Beyond Sight (a ghost story based in Saratoga Springs). All are available everywhere books are sold. For more information, visit laledavidson.com
