The Cody Sisters

If you caught The Cody Sisters at Caffè Lena @ SPAC, you already know. If you missed them, here's your chance to find out what all the excitement is about!

With dazzling musicianship, beautiful harmonies, and an adventurous spirit, The Cody Sisters are among the most exciting young bands making acoustic music today. Rooted in bluegrass and traditional American music but never content to stay within the lines, this Colorado-based trio brings together fiery bluegrass picking, gorgeous vocal harmonies, and original songs that venture well beyond traditional boundaries. This is where bluegrass is going.

Sisters Megan Cody (guitar, mandolin, vocals) and Maddie Cody (guitar, banjo, vocals), joined by bassist Will Pavilonis, bring an extraordinary combination of instrumental skill, inventive songwriting, and musical chemistry to the stage. Their lightning-fast picking and intricate arrangements are impressive enough, but it's the warmth of their harmonies and the emotional depth of their original songs that make their performances so memorable.

The band's self-titled 2023 EP marked an important turning point. Moving beyond their early identity as a family band, Megan and Maddie emerged as confident, imaginative songwriters with a musical vision entirely their own. Their latest project, Archipelago, continues that journey, exploring new textures and influences while maintaining a deep connection to their bluegrass roots.

With performances throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, The Cody Sisters are building a following among listeners who appreciate both exceptional musicianship and songs that have something to say.

Their recent appearance at Caffè Lena @ SPAC was a highlight of the festival, winning over the crowd with their remarkable playing, beautiful harmonies, and infectious energy. One set at Caffè Lena @ SPAC simply wasn't enough. We had to bring them to Lena's for more!

At Caffè Lena, we've always taken special pleasure in discovering and championing artists whose music deserves to be heard. The Cody Sisters are exactly that kind of band, and we couldn't be more excited about what lies ahead for them.

Come hear The Cody Sisters now. We have a feeling you'll be hearing a lot more about them in the years to come.
