A free community concert featuring the Skidmore Songwriters’ Workshop. Established by Artist-in-Residence Joel Brown before his retirement from Skidmore, the Songwriters’ Workshop continues under the direction of Prof. Adam Tinkle, multidisciplinary artist and multi-instrumentalist noted for both folk-tinged and experimental projects that have been presented both locally and internationally. This semester’s workshop members include seniors Frances Davies and Ellie Ushakov (familiar faces in the Caffè and, as Question of the Century, on its stage), as well as first year students El Frary and Willa McMaken-Marsh, who wowed with songs and stories at recent Caffè open mic nights. Expect introspective autofictions, ballads based on true stories, settings of poetry, and possibly some contenders for songs that could appear in Skidmore College: The Musical…Free admission – donations welcome. Caffè Lena’s full menu will be available.
Stream this show live for free at Caffè Lena TV.
Note: Caffe Lena does not permit ticket reselling above face value. Tickets purchased for the purpose of resale may be canceled without notice, and refunds for such purchases will not be granted.
