Perform on the Caffè Lena stage
Every Monday night the stage is yours. All ages, all styles. Originals are encouraged but not required. Poetry, storytelling and comedy are also welcome. Just like at our weekend shows, the room listens.
For more than three decades our open mic has won “Best Of” awards from Metroland, The Alt Weekly, The Saratogian Readers’ Poll and Saratoga’s Fab Five.
Please leave a $3–$5 donation for our nonprofit if you’re able to.

How the sign-up works
- 6:00 Doors open
- 6:30 Sign-up sheet comes out, first come, first served
- 7:00 Show starts, and the host calls names in order
- Your turn Two songs or ten minutes
Sign-up closes at 7:00.

On stage
Our Yamaha studio upright piano and an acoustic Martin guitar are yours to use.
Bringing a backing track? We’ll play your MP3 through the sound system.
Amps and drums are welcome, but setup and breakdown count toward your ten minutes.
Play nice
Monday night is a community that has a great time making art and helping each other get better. Excessive profanity, explicit sexual themes, and “humor” that unkindly targets any group work against that. The host has the final say on our house standards.
Food, no alcohol
A limited Open Mic menu is served. There’s no alcohol on Mondays: we keep the night family friendly.
