The Henry Girls

The Henry Girls — sisters Karen, Lorna, and Joleen McLaughlin — bring the rich musical traditions of their home in Inishowen, County Donegal to stages across the world. Blending traditional Irish folk with the soulful storytelling of Americana, their sound is both rooted and expansive, tender and bold.

Multi-instrumentalists and skilled vocalists, the sisters weave intricate harmonies while playing an array of instruments including fiddle, harp, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, piano, accordion, and guitar. Together, they create music that feels deeply personal yet universally resonant.

Since forming over a decade ago, The Henry Girls have released a string of acclaimed albums and collaborated with beloved artists including Mary Black, Session Americana, Dónal Lunny, and Moya Brennan. Their songs have reached audiences in both concert halls and on screen — including an Irish Film and Television Award nomination for their original score in A Shine of Rainbows.

At the heart of it all is a family connection that radiates through every note. Named in honor of their grandfather, The Henry Girls’ music invites listeners into a shared space of stories, tradition, and heartfelt song.
