Storytellers of all styles and levels of experience are welcome! Enjoy an evening of true stories, traditional tales, myths, fables, family stories and more. A featured storyteller performs for 30 minutes and open mic tellers have 10 minutes each. We have just one rule: no notes! 🙂
FEATURED TELLERS 2018 / 2019
Eliud Nieves, is a storyteller, artist, and educator from Ithaca, New York & founder of the Brevard County Schools Elementary Storytelling Festival. Whether Eliud tells hilarious wonder tales from his birthplace, Puerto Rico, or poignant personal stories, expect a great evening.
Our featured teller, Claire Nolan, uses the power of story teaching English as a Second Language at SUNYA. She tells at the Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center in Berne and tells the story of Harris Jones (Mother Jones) through the Schenectady Theater for Children Great Minds Series.
Sir Allison creates memorable characters that stay in your heart forever. She first found her niche with alternative audiences, especially residents of homeless shelters. These days she shares her powerful stories with school children and at venues throughout the Capital District.
