          Caffe Lena Members go beyond enjoying the nightly show. They cultivate the next generation of performers and fans, and ensure that everyone in our community can experience the joy and connection of live music.

          Our Members are making these initiatives possible:

          Nightly Performances – Annually serving 20,000 people in our historic listening room in Saratoga Springs, NY, and hundreds of thousands in living rooms around the world. Headliners, legends and newcomers, jazz, folk, bluegrass, blues, poetry and storytelling, and much more.

          A Stage for Musical Discovery – From Bob Dylan in 1961 to Mikaela Davis in 2021, Caffe Lena connects the most exciting emerging artists with a supportive, engaged audience.

          Caffe Lena On the Road – Your Membership sends live music to nursing homes, at-risk youth programs, the soup kitchen, and even to the living rooms and bedsides of people with debilitating illnesses.

          Caffe Lena School of Music – In-person and online group folk music lessons for kids and adults cultivate the next generation of performers, and provide a wholesome pastime that can be shared with others. Full scholarships and loaner instruments are available for students in need.

          Community Forums – In keeping with the first coffeehouses, Caffe Lena convenes smart, respectful discussions about challenges facing common people–the people of the ballads we sing every night.

          Notes Of Hope, and the Veterans and Community Housing Coalition

          This year, we received a really special gift. A local family established the “Notes of Hope Membership” to honor their parents, Tom & Winnie Miller. The donation is at the Impresario level, which provides unlimited free access to shows for a year. As generations of the Miller family have served in the military, we decided to give Notes Of Hope to our friends at Veterans and Community Housing Coalition in Ballston Spa, which helps homeless vets find permanent housing and financial stability. For the next twelve months, volunteers and members of the staff will be able to bring the veterans out for a night of music at Caffe Lena. Please join us in applauding the Miller Family for passing their parents’ love of music to neighbors in need. We welcome creative ideas!
