Her work reflects both loss and renewal. Written in the wake of personal and collective upheaval\, Dark Enough to See the Stars holds grief and gratitude in the same frame\, tracing the difficult work of moving forward. It followed Rifles & Rosary Beads\, her Grammy-nominated collaboration with wounded Iraq war veterans.
