Jocelyn’s powerhouse vocals and Chris’s guitar work have earned equally powerful reviews.The Daily Beacon in Knoxville wrote\, “One couldn’t help but to just be amazed at her raw\, Janis Joplin-inspired voice. Chris Arndt morphed from John Mayer to Eddie Van Halen to Jimi Hendrix and back again.” Baeble declared of Jocelyn\, “Her voice will grab you by the collar\, bang your head on the table\, and make you pay attention.” The siblings have released six full-length studio albums\, two live albums\, and a holiday EP. A songwriter\, troubadour\, TEDx speaker\, stand-up comic and author\, Kellogg has performed thousands of shows around the world\, earning a reputation as one of those rare performers who can move effortlessly from a beautifully written song to a hilarious story and back again without ever losing the emotional thread. Planet Bluegrass calls him “a first class songwriter with a poet’s gift for fresh imagery\,” while Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz says\, “there are few people in rock n’ roll who are just so great.” Rolling Stone may have summed up his musical side best\, describing his sound as “John Prine fronting the Heartbreakers.” Kellogg’s career has also taken him far beyond the traditional singer-songwriter circuit. Formed in Aberdeen in 1992\, the band emerged from Scotland’s thriving folk scene with a mission to bring the songs and tunes of the country’s Northeast to audiences around the world. More than three decades later\, they’ve become a cornerstone of the Scottish folk revival\, known for a sound that is unmistakably rooted in tradition while never standing still. The current lineup features original member Jonny Hardie on fiddle and vocals\, Aaron Jones on cittern\, guitar and vocals\, Donald Hay on percussion and vocals\, and former Battlefield Band piper Mike Katz on pipes and whistles. Together\, they bring decades of experience at the highest levels of Scottish traditional music\, and formidable chemistry\, to the stage. Inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame\, Old Blind Dogs have spent their career taking Scottish music around the world while continuing to explore what the tradition can become.
