SUMMARY:The Suitcase Junket
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	The Suitcase Junket [solo artist Matt Lorenz] will be rolling out new songs in anticipation of going into the recording studio this winter. Love to have you there to be part of the process. There’ll be plenty of songs tonite from Lorenz' six previous albums as well.  The Suitcase Junket developed in the tension between the grand and the solitary. Grand in imagery\, sound\, and staging. Solitary in thrift and self-reliance. NPR calls Matt Lorenz a "master of musical imagination." What instruments he requires\, Lorenz builds from scratch and salvage. What parts five players would perform\, he performs alone. The spectacle of his one-man set bears comparison to legends of showmanship\, brilliance\, madness\, and invention. While audiences are captivated by that solitary form and the show itself\, Lorenz\, who homesteads in Western Massachusetts\, is most serious about the songs. Over the course of six full-length releases\, including the latest The End is New from Renew Records at BMG\, he has written a world into existence\, crowded with characters\, narratives\, voices\, imagery\, sounds as wide and varied as mountain throat singers and roadhouse juke boxes\, plus newsreels of the planet's destruction and salvage. More songs are coming.  SAMPLE SONG “A living\, breathing\, throat-singing\, road-tested\, avant-garde\, one-man-band who is in a state of perpetual motion… gutsy\, fuzzed-out\, groove-laden psych rock.” – National Public Radio  "Now this is the shit I'm talking about\, Jack. The Suitcase Junket is a lo-fi\, low-tuned\, low-down blast of end-times folk blues. It's crude; it's magnificent. With a stage set-up that resembles a junkyard foley stage or Fred Sanford's living room\, The Suitcase Junket — one man band leader Matt Lorenz — incants and intones like a cross between Hound Dog Taylor and a Tuvan throat singer who has swallowed a bird. Take the singer-songwriter idiom\, give it a low grade fever and a guitar and this is what you get. Captivating\, mesmerizing\, and gone … real gone." – Rochester City Newspaper  “Jaw-dropping… It’s the biggest sound I’ve ever heard come from a solo performer. Matt is definitely his own thing and it is something. The live experience is pretty\, darn unforgettable.” — Beale Street Caravan "Bluesy guitar riffs\, tenacious melodies and a singing voice both weathered and nimble. You don’t need to witness his physics-defying performance to be captivated; the music stands on its own… astonishing." – WBUR Boston Stream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. After decades in the film industry\, Baratta made a triumphant return to jazz\, earning a GRAMMY nomination for his 2020 album\, Music in Film: The Reel Deal\, which reimagined iconic movie soundtracks in a jazz setting. His follow-ups\, Music in Film: The Sequel and Off the Charts\, solidified his place as a boundary-pushing bandleader and visionary musician. \n \nThe drummer-bandleader's most recent album\, Looking Back\, is a thrilling jazz reinterpretation of classic rock and soul hits from the 1960s and '70s. There are fresh\, dynamic takes on the music of James Brown\, Jimi Hendrix\, Led Zeppelin\, and Bob Dylan\, all brought to life through the virtuosic energy of the Richard Baratta Gotham City Latin Jazz Quarytet. \n \nSAMPLE SONG \n \nBaratta and his Sextet blend the soul of classic rock with the improvisational fire of jazz\, creating a performance that is both nostalgic and fresh\, familiar yet unpredictable. Molly of Red Molly \n \nNew album "Business Unusual" exclusively available at the show! \n \nGoodnight Moonshine is a guitar and vocal duet\, and a musical marriage in all senses. The Duo combines the evocative voice and songwriting of Molly Venter of Red Molly fame\, with Eben Pariser’s adventurous and awe-inspiring guitar playing. The result is folk music with a depth of improvisation and tonal subtlety usually reserved for jazz. Molly’s enviable voice\, which can be called both “biker-chick smoky” (New Haven Register)\, and “like silk” (American Songwriter Magazine)\, has taken her career to highlights including Tønder Festival in Denmark\, Kate Wolf Fest in CA\, and multiple placements on television and film. “Pariser’s harmonic sensibilities are wide\, imaginative” (NPR)\, and he describes his own playing as "Cooder-grass" in honor of Ry Cooder- part Django part Frisell with a touch of Jerry's ethos. A natural producer\, Eben now has 9 studio records under his belt for himself and other artists. \n \nNEW RECORD \n \nGoodnight Moonshine's ground-breaking new album “Business Unusual” which releases everywhere spring 2026\, explores the difficulty of modern family life—which the couple experienced acutely by having twins in early COVID—and it tracks the transformation and spiritual awakenings that followed. \n \nMolly and Eben spent 30 sweaty days in the studio\, searching for magical live-takes. Jazz master-drummer Ryan Sands and Upright bassist (& Eben’s childhood bestie) Adam Chilenski\, added the finishing touches. The record was co-mixed by Grammy winner David Seitz\, and Produced by Eben Pariser. \n \nTogether\, they create performances that feel like a conversation—vocals and guitar trading ideas\, reacting in the moment\, building a hypnotic sound that deepens as the night goes on.  \n \nSAMPLE SONG – Their #1 Folk Hit \n \nThis is the very best of what two exceptional artists can create when they choose to go all-in—on the music\, on each other\, and on the truth. \n \nStream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. Live stream available for $5 – 100% of live stream tickets on CaffeLenaTV benefit the artists. We’ll go around the room after the reading and let everyone give a “popcorn” reaction (one word!).\nEach meeting will include 6 or 7 scenes selected at random from those submitted. After the readings we’ll have time to hang out and get acquainted.  \nThis event will be co-hosted by Michael Wells-Oakes and Vivian Nesbitt\nPlaywright Nice! SUMMARY:Momentum Series: Misty Blues
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nLed by the incomparable Gina Coleman—a vocalist with fire\, grit\, and deep emotional range—Misty Blues delivers original music inspired by Koko Taylor\, Bessie Smith\, Billie Holiday\, and the great American blues tradition. Gina’s story is as compelling as her voice: from a dare to sing in 1990 to performing at the Williamstown Theatre Festival\, NYC’s Bitter End\, and recording with Charles Neville and Joe Louis Walker\, she brings decades of artistry\, heart\, and authenticity to the stage. \n \nMisty Blues is fueled by an all-star lineup of multi-instrumentalists and musical shapeshifters: \n \nRob Tatten – drummer\, trumpeter\, trombonist\, vocalist\, and longtime music educator with a gift for rhythm and soul. \n \nAaron Dean – saxophonist and “bad mamma jamma\,” a jazz-trained performer who lights up every stage he touches. \n \nSeth Fleischmann – guitar slinger with chops ranging from metal to acoustic blues and everything in between. \n \nDiego Mongue – Gina’s son\, a rising phenom and multi-instrumentalist (bass\, drums\, guitar\, pedal steel) whose bands have already reached the semifinals of the International Blues Challenge. \n \nMichael Mongue – the band’s visual soul\, creating all album artwork and adding a quiet creative force behind the scenes. \n \nWith a rotating “farm team” of top-tier musicians\, the Misty Blues sound is always tight\, soulful\, and absolutely electric. \n \nThe band has earned two Independent Blues Award nominations\, opened for giants like Tab Benoit\, John Primer\, Albert Cummings\, and Michael Powers\, and continues to push the genre forward with fresh writing\, fearless energy\, and their signature blend of blues\, gospel\, jazz\, and funk. \n \nSAMPLE SONG \n \nIf you love blues that hits hard\, vocals that shake the rafters\, and a band that plays with heart and heat—don’t miss Misty Blues at Caffè Lena. \n \nThis show is part of our Momentum Series\, made possible by Joe & Luann Conlon. This series features high energy music–solo or band. These are typically more shows that infuse the room with crackling energy rather than featuring solo acoustic performers. \n \nStream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. Live stream available for $5 – 100% of live stream tickets on CaffeLenaTV benefit the artists. SUMMARY:So You Want to Play Mandolin with Alan Epstein
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThis class is designed for the beginner; those folks who are interested in playing the mandolin but don't know where to start. We will cover the basics of holding\, tuning and playing your first notes and chords on the mandolin\, left and right hand technique and also learn to play a few songs. My goal is to get you started and provide you with the skills needed to play this great little instrument going forward. We will take things slowly\, with a focus on producing clear tone\, developing muscle memory in your fingers and most importantly having fun. Each week we will review all the things we’ve covered in previous classes. We will learn mostly by ear\, but a few handouts will be provided. The only prerequisite is that you have a mandolin\, a few picks\, an extra set of mandolin strings\, an electronic tuner and\, most importantly\, a desire to play the mandolin. Class size is limited to 10 so reserve your spot now! \n \nAlan Epstein has been playing mandolin for the past 54 years and has been teaching others to play mandolin for 30 years. Originally from Pittsburgh\, Pa and currently living in Glens falls\, NY. Alan has preformed in bluegrass bands in Colorado\, North Carolina\, Pennsylvania\, Michigan and New York. A former contributing writer for the now defunct Mandolin Magazine\, in 2002 Alan was the founder of the modern day Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra and has been a Wernick Method Bluegrass Jam instructor since 2012. During all this time he has made it a priority to take mandolin lessons and workshops from the top players in the world and share what he has learned when he teach others to play. Alan teaches by ear and specializes in Bluegrass and Old Time music. In Alan’s own words\, “IMHO the world needs more mandolin players and I'm here to help make that happen”. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 20 • 7 PM

SUMMARY:Bluegrass Duet Class with Alan Epstein
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe purpose of this class is to allow acoustic musicians to work on Bluegrass Duet repertoire with a musical partner. Early groups such as the Blue Sky Boys\, the Monroe Brothers\, the Louvin Brothers\, and the Delmore Brothers helped develop the roots of the sound that we know as bluegrass. Each week we will listen to recorded examples of these and other duet and bluegrass artists and will work on singing and playing some of their best known songs.  \n \nThis class is NOT intended for beginning musicians looking to learn the basics of their instruments. Rather\, it is aimed at those who can play their acoustic instrument\, (guitar\, banjo\, bass\, fiddle\, mandolin\, dobro) and are interested in exploring the music's roots to help them fine tune their sound with a duet partner. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n	\n \n Get Tickets \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 13 • 7 PM

He brings folk tales and historical sagas to life (“some of our folklore is truly unbelievable\, some of our history is even more so”) and reveals the little-known stories behind some of our best-known songs. He plays his theme song on a Jew’s harp. When you hear him play the guitar and sing\, you’ll know why he calls himself a storyteller. \n \n \n \nStream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nAll are Welcome!\nWE LOVE TO MEET NEW PICKERS\,\nAND WE LOVE PUTTING ON A GOOD SHOW FOR LISTENERS!\n \nThis weekly program is made possible by the generous support of PHLY Foundation! \n \nTHERE ARE NO PRE-SHOW RESERVATIONS FOR THE JAMS! \n \nSUGGESTED DONATION AT THE DOOR. $5.00 per person \n \nOur jams are all about sharing songs\, making new friends\, and enjoying a relaxing and casual evening of irresistible string band music. \n \nALL are welcome to join the circle for an afternoon or evening playing and listening to classic grass\, new grass and folk favorites. We sometimes refer to our genre as eclectic acoustic. \n \nRed Spruce and Adirondack Song Dogs will kick off each session with a few tunes then open the floor for musicians to lead their favorite bluegrass tunes and folk music\, backed up by the other pickers in the gathering. Simple tunes are always popular! So sharpen up your axe\, come prepared with your song\, and let us hear some good old fast\, high and lonesome\, some slow and low\, or a good old favorite. All are welcome! \n \nWhat is a Slow Jam? \n \nIt is a group of string instrument players and singers who get together to have fun making music. The “slow” modifier indicates that it is targeted to the following musicians: people who have been playing solo and want to get used to playing in a group setting: people who have just learned how to play and want to play with others; people who have instruments that have been gathering dust for a “few” years; experienced players who are trying out playing instruments other than their primary instrument; people who are comfortable playing their instrument but want to become more comfortable singing/leading a song.. The tunes are played at 80 to 110 BPM and usually in basic keys such a G\, A\, D\, C major\, but it always sounds great to play in some minor keys such as “a”\, “e”\, and “g”. We will try to avoid “jam busters.” It is our hope that after this experience you will feel more comfortable playing at the many open jams and open mics that can be found in our area. \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 20 • 7 PM

SUMMARY:Nordlys Global Voices Series: Alla Boara
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nLed by percussionist and composer Anthony Taddeo\, Alla Boara draws inspiration from the distinct dialects\, stories\, and melodies of Italy’s pre-industrial past—music that once lived in kitchens\, wheat fields\, fishing villages\, and mountain towns\, and has nearly vanished in the modern era. \n \nAt the heart of the ensemble is Amanda Powell\, whose impassioned\, theatrical vocals capture the humor\, longing\, tenderness\, and drama of Italian life. The songs unfold like short plays—by turns playful\, mournful\, heroic\, and achingly human—powered by rich storytelling and dazzling instrumental interplay that evokes a seasoned jazz group. \n \nTheir debut album\, Le Tre Sorelle\, was praised by Cleveland Magazine for its “top-notch musicianship\,” and GRAMMY-nominated artist Becca Stevens applauds Alla Boara for “breathing new possibilities into timeless stories.” Their work has earned critical acclaim from NPR\, All About Jazz\, Jazz Weekly\, SWR2 Germany\, and beyond. \n \nMore than a concert\, Alla Boara invites audiences to rediscover cultural memory\, honor ancestral voices\, and experience the emotional depth of songs that—though centuries old—speak directly to our modern hearts. \n \nSAMPLE SONG \n \nRecorded on June 28th\, 2024\, this performance features the band’s very first original arrangement – the song that gave their ensemble its name. \n \n"Alla Boara" is built around an old Italian work song traditionally sung as call-and-response during grain harvests. The title literally means "to the work\," marking it as music created specifically for labor in the fields. \n \nThis piece represents the heart of what they do: taking Italy's rich folk traditions and breathing new life into them through fresh instrumental voices while respecting their original purpose and meaning. \n \nA breathtaking fusion of history\, storytelling\, jazz\, global folk\, and contemporary imagination — perfect for music lovers\, culture lovers\, and anyone curious about where we come from. \n \nStream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. Live stream available for $5 – 100% of live stream tickets on CaffeLenaTV benefit the artists. SUMMARY:Jenna Nicholls with Jon LaDeau
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nWith a voice that feels cinematic and timeless\, Jenna Nicholls invites listeners on a journey through the golden age of American songcraft. Her music drifts effortlessly from 1930s Parisian cafés to New Orleans juke joints\, from Tennessee hills to the wide-open skies of the American West.  \n \nOriginally from Irwin\, Pennsylvania\, Jenna found her creative footing in the vibrant music scene of Manhattan’s Lower East Side\, where she forged lasting connections with fellow artists and musicians. Over the course of three self-produced albums — Curled Up Toes in Red Mary Janes\, The Blooming Hour\, and Radio Parade — she established herself as a songwriter with a vintage soul and a keen modern wit. \n \nHer newest release\, The Commuter\, produced by the legendary Larry Campbell\, showcases Jenna’s lyrical grace and melodic strength at their peak. The album is a love letter to the art of travel and transformation — a reflection of the great vintage recordings she cherishes\, wrapped in lush arrangements and heartfelt performances. \n \nJenna’s live performances are equally enchanting\, filled with wit\, warmth\, and instrumental charm. Whether on ukulele\, guitar\, piano\, or even with a playful mouth-trumpet solo\, she connects deeply with her audience. She truly creates an atmosphere that holds nostalgia\, but is extremely alive in the present moment. \n \nHer songs\, like “You\, Me and the Moon\,” “Small Talk\,” and “Holy Moses\,” sparkle with humor\, humanity\, and heart. Each tune is a story of longing\, love\, and the little moments that make life sing. \n \nSAMPLE SONG \n \n\nJoin us for an evening of storytelling\, soul\, and song with the extraordinary Jenna Nicholls with Jon LaDeau. \n \n\nCan't make it to the show in person? Stream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. SUMMARY:Folk Heritage Series: Steve Forbert Duo
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nSteve Forbert is a true American musical treasure\, a truth underscored by his acclaimed new album Daylight Savings Time. Like all his albums\, it’s infused with what rock critic Robert Christgau called his “omnivorously observant” songwriting—songs that find poetry and depth in the rhythms of everyday life\, brought to life through Steve’s unmistakable voice and melodic brilliance. \n \n“Like Warren Zevon\, Gram Parsons\, Bob Dylan\, Tom Petty\, and Bruce Springsteen\, Steve Forbert has left his unmistakable imprint on the landscape of American music\,” notes American Songwriter. His music speaks genuinely to listeners—intimate\, heartfelt\, and deeply human. \n \nAs he approaches his 70th birthday\, Daylight Savings Time reflects on resilience\, gratitude\, and the small joys that light our days. “Yeah\, to chirping crickets and to daylight savings time!” he sings on the album’s first single\, Sound Existence.“The best ain’t yet to come\, but you could still get by just fine.” \n \nProduced by longtime collaborator Steve Greenwell\, the album features Aaron Comess (Spin Doctors) on drums\, Rob Clores (The Black Crowes\, Jesse Malin) on keys\, Byron House (Dolly Parton\, Emmylou Harris\, Johnny Cash) on bass\, and Gurf Morlix (Lucinda Williams) on guitar—a testament to the caliber of artistry surrounding Forbert’s work. \n \nSteve’s journey began in 1976 when he left Meridian\, Mississippi for New York City\, where he became a leading voice in the “new folk” revival\, performing at legendary clubs like Folk City and The Bitter End\, while also gracing the stage at CBGB during the height of the punk era. His first major label release\, Alive on Arrival (1978)\, was followed by Jackrabbit Slim (1979)\, featuring his classic hit “Romeo’s Tune\,” which reached #11 on the pop charts and remains a staple of American radio. \n \nOver four decades and 20 studio albums later\, Forbert continues to create\, perform\, and connect with audiences worldwide. His Grammy-nominated tribute Any Old Time honored fellow Meridian native Jimmie Rodgers\, while his 2020 release Early Morning Rain paid homage to songwriters who shaped his craft. \n \nSAMPLE SONG \n \nVenerable Milwaukee promoter Peter Jest perhaps said it best: \n \n“His ability to craft songs that capture the essence of the human spirit is nothing short of remarkable. His voice is a beacon of authenticity in a world saturated with noise.” \n \nDon’t miss this evening with one of America’s most enduring and beloved songsmiths.
\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n	\n \n Get Tickets \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 13 • 7 PM

\n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 20 • 7 PM

SUMMARY:JAZZ at Caffè Lena: Chuck Lamb Trio w/The Dylan Perillo Orchestra @ Putnam Place
DESCRIPTION:Multi-act Program Open Mic \n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nCaffè Lena brings its acclaimed Jazz at Caffè Lena series to Putnam Place for a spectacular evening uniting two generations of jazz artistry: pianist Chuck Lamb and The Dylan Perrillo Orchestra. \n \nFor more than two decades\, Chuck Lamb has been the pianist with the legendary Brubeck Brothers Quartet\, performing on world stages and earning acclaim for his passionate\, expressive style. A gifted composer and improviser\, his work spans jazz\, fusion\, classical\, and world music—each performance a journey between lyrical beauty and electrifying intensity. \n \nHailing from Albany\, NY\, The Dylan Perrillo Orchestra brings the golden age of American jazz to life with a modern sensibility and infectious energy. With six horns\, a violin\, rhythm section\, and vocalist\, this 10-piece ensemble captures the charm and sophistication of the 1920s–1950s jazz era—reimagining timeless songs with fresh\, vibrant spirit. \n \nDYLAN PERRILLO ORCHESTRA SAMPLE SONG  \n \nThis rare collaboration brings together Lamb’s fearless modern jazz voice with Perrillo’s exuberant big band to create something truly special: a musical conversation that bridges eras\, styles\, and generations. Expect lush orchestrations\, soaring improvisations\, and moments of pure spontaneity that could only happen live. \n \nThis concert continues the legacy of the late GRAMMY and Oscar-winning producer Joel Moss\, whose vision and generosity helped shape Jazz at Caffè Lena into a regional destination for creative\, boundary-pushing jazz. \n \nJoin us for an extraordinary night where intimate artistry meets big-band brilliance—“Chuck Lamb with The Dylan Perrillo Orchestra” at Putnam Place\, presented by Caffè Lena. \n \nThe Show takes place at Putnam Place. Every ticket comes with a seat at the venue. \n \nNote: Caffe Lena does not permit ticket reselling above face value. Tickets purchased for the purpose of resale may be canceled without notice\, and refunds for such purchases will not be granted. \n \n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n	\n Doors Open\n Doors Open: 6:00 pm	\n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n \n Similar Events\n \n View All\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 6 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Storytelling Open Mic Featuring Kelvin Keraga\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic Storytelling\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 7 • 7 PM \n	\n	\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n	\n \n Caffè Lena\n	\n\n \n\n Open Mic\n\n Multi-act Program Open Mic\n \n \n \n \n event\n \n \n\n \n Apr 20 • 7 PM
