Built around horns and drums\, their sound blends brass\, funk\, soul\, hip hop\, and jazz into something rhythmic\, direct\, and built for a live room. The arrangements are tight\, but the energy is loose. It's music that moves between precision and improvisation without losing its pulse. Formed in New Orleans\, the eight-piece group set out to expand what a brass band could do\, drawing as much from radio and street music as from tradition. That approach has led to collaborations with artists including Nas\, Wu-Tang Clan\, Katy Perry\, Macklemore\, and Robert Glasper\, along with appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and NPR’s Tiny Desk series.
