They typically play this area with their full five-piece rock band. Tonight\, as Luke and Will Mallett take the Caffe Lena stage in the footsteps of their father\, long-time folk favorite David Mallett\, they're leaving the drums back home and creating a special\, intimate acoustic trio for our venue – The Mallett Brothers Trio. In the spirit of folk music\, Mallett Brothers songs are filled with vivid imagery that captures the rugged spirit of the beautiful Maine landscape where they make their home. They "punch it into high gear" with rock and country instrumentation\, creating "gutsy country rock" (Americana UK) that has been celebrated in the pages of Relix\, No Depression and Americana Highways.
