SUMMARY:Beekman Street Art Fair (on Beekman St!)
DESCRIPTION: 		\n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	Beekman Street Art Fair Sunday\, June 1 – 10 AM – 5 PM Join us on Beekman Street in Saratoga's Arts District for a one-day\, fun-day Sunday! The Fair features a juried fine art and craft show featuring 61 artists\, a live music tent booked and amplified by Caffe Lena\, and food trucks along Beekman Street from Washington Street to West Circular. Held rain or shine\, this event is family-friendly with free admission.  Beekman Street Art Fair is produced by the Saratoga Springs Arts District\, with a generous Community Arts Grant from Saratoga Arts funded by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Legislature. We have a great line-up of live bands to offer you! SCHEDULE 10 am Folk Club Kids with Oona Grady\, James Gascoyne & Dan Berggren 11 am Question of the Century 12 pm Lovella & The Seth Warden Band  1 pm Prakash Slim  2 pm Mostly Modern Ensemble  3 pm Millstone Rounders  4 pm Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band ARTIST INFORMATION Folk Club Kids with Oona\, James & Dan Start your day with bouncy fiddle\, banjo and guitar tunes and original songs with a special message for children! Question of the Century Francis Davies and Ellie Ushakov are fans of 1960s folk music. They make original music together as Question of the Century\, deploying traditional instruments\, singing in harmony\, and keeping their lyrics smart and spare. Lovella with The Seth Warden Band Teen singer-songwriter Lovella writes expansive\, emotional pop songs. She writes the lyrics\, and her Dad\, music teacher\, band leader and singer-songwriter Seth Warden\, writes the music. Prakash Slim Prakash discovered his love for traditional American blues while growing up on the other side of the world in rural Nepal. His mastery of the tradition comes from endless hours studying the great blues masters\, including Charley Patton\, Robert Johnson\, Bukka White\, Fred McDowell\, Mississippi John Hurt and Blind Blake. Mostly Modern Ensemble With a vibrant string quartet and percussion\, they blend classical\, Celtic\, Latin\, film scores\, and modern tunes into an energetic\, interactive experience.  Millstone Rounders This diverse band of A-list musicians creates set lists like no other! A gospel hymn might be followed by an old English ballad\, a jug band breakdown\, an Irish pub song\, some country blues\, and then a rollicking Scottish fiddle tune. Reese Fulmer & The Carriage House Band With a rotating cast of talented players\, a broad and dynamic body of work\, and a refusal to set anything in stone\, their shows are always fresh\, full of joy\, and hard to describe. Think Wilco with hints of Prine and Zappa. \n \n	\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n\n \n\n	\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n \n \n Similar Events\n \n View All

SUMMARY:Vanessa Collier
DESCRIPTION: 		\n\n \n Share:\n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	\n	A twelve-time Blues Music Award nominee and four-time winner — including B.B. King Entertainer of the Year and Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year — Vanessa Collier is a force of nature. Her newest album\, Do It My Own Way (out September 13 via Phenix Fire Records)\, is a bold and deeply personal collection inspired by the golden era of Memphis soul\, with modern messages of empowerment and resilience. From the anthemic title track to the gospel-tinged “Rosetta” and the empowering “Wild As a Rainstorm\,” Collier’s show is a masterclass in soulful storytelling and high-impact performance. Vanessa is appearing with analog warmth and a band stacked with talent\, including the legendary Rev. Charles Hodges on organ and the jaw-droppingly brilliant Laura Chavez on guitar — a fiery\, soulful player whose solos are pure electricity. Expect dazzling saxophone solos\, stirring vocals\, and grooves steeped in the legacy of Mavis Staples\, Sharon Jones\, and Aretha Franklin. This is music that moves both heart and feet. A multi-instrumentalist\, songwriter\, and producer\, Vanessa Collier doesn’t just play music — she lives it. Don’t miss this chance to experience one of today’s most exciting and inspiring voices in Blues music. Stream this show live at Caffè Lena TV. Enjoy two weeks of access with your live stream ticket.
