On Tuesday\, February 18\, Rochmon Record Club will converge at Caffè Lena 47 Phila Street\, Saratoga Springs\, to listen to\, and learn about Traffic’s 4th studio album\, “John Barleycorn Must Die”. Doors open at 6:30\, and the show begins at 7 pm with a live audio & video presentation by Chuck Vosganian aka “Rochmon”. In 1968\, after their 3rd album was released\, guitarist Dave Mason left for his solo career \, Steve Winwood joined Blind Faith\, and Traffic disbanded. In 1970 Steve Winwood\, started recording songs for a solo album and missed working with his bandmates in Traffic\, a few phone calls later Traffic was reunited with Steve Winwood\, drummer Jim Capaldi\, and woodwind player Chris Wood. No one called Dave Mason. The resulting album\, “John Barleycorn Must Die” is a masterpiece of acoustic progressive rock\, melding English Folk\, Rock\, Blues\, R&B and Jazz. Featuring the title song\, “Glad”\, “Freedom Rider”\, Empty Pages and 2 more “John Barleycorn Must Die” is a wonderful listen with loads of great stories.
