JAZZ at Caffè Lena: Chuck Lamb with Special Guest Ken Peplowski
Jazz

The JAZZ at Caffe Lena series is hosted by resident composer, pianist, and jazz master Chuck Lamb, with support from music producer Joel Moss. Each month, Lamb invites a top-flight jazz artist to join his trio on stage. Lamb, a member of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet since 2002, is not only an exciting and emotive pianist but also a prolific composer of jazz, fusion, classical, and world music. Through these collaborations, the artists stretch their creative boundaries, exploring new musical landscapes and creating spontaneous, exhilarating performances.

This June, Chuck Lamb welcomes special guest: Ken Peplowski, a thoughtful and nuanced clarinetist and tenor saxophonist whose voice has become a distinctive presence in the world of jazz. Peplowski, known for his lyrical phrasing and deep swing sensibility, has recorded over 70 albums as a leader and nearly 400 as a sideman, collaborating with legends such as Mel Tormé, Peggy Lee, and Benny Goodman. His artistry bridges the golden age of swing with contemporary jazz, making him a dynamic and versatile performer.

With Peplowski joining Lamb and his trio, audiences can anticipate an evening of rich improvisation and timeless jazz standards, delivered with both virtuosity and heart.
