The Caffè Lena School of Music and Darlingside are excited to bring you this workshop.
In this workshop, we’ll explore a playful, collaborative, one-step-at-a-time approach to songwriting that we’ve developed over the past decade. We’ll break down an example all the way from a silly prompt to a final song and how each of us played a discrete role in that process. We’ll then invite everyone to sharpen their quills and open their minds in a small group writing exercise. This workshop will involve group writing and sharing (which is not as scary as it sounds, we promise!) but we’ll also be discussing modifications you can make to adapt these approaches to solo writing practice. Can’t wait to share language and music and probably some laughs with you all.
