Greetings – Maybe you’ve been coming to Caffe Lena tor years, but imagine coming for the very first time. The feeling of history, the rich colors and natural wood, the buzz of excitement, and then the music filling the room. Newcomers are telling us that they knew they’d found something special the moment they arrived, and they wish they’d thought to visit years ago. Caffe Lena has always counted on word of mouth to keep the audience growing. With the snow thin and the temperatures low, this is a great time to reach out to a new friend or neighbor and treat them to a show. Who knows? You might just make a lifelong fan out of them.
We have a really exciting week ahead! World-class jazz, global folk, singer-songwriters, and plenty of opportunities for you to play and sing and learn. Take special note of the Sunday afternoon show with Misty Blues, doing their powerful and superb tribute to Odetta. This Free Show is part of Saratoga’s MLK Weekend Celebration. Be sure to register ahead so you can get seats!
The 2025 JAZZ at Caffe Lena Series kicks off with pianist Lamb (Brubeck Brothers) joined by internationally renowned vibraphone great Joe Locke. One of the major voices of his instrument, Locke has performed and recorded with Grover Washington Jr, Kenny Barron, Dianne Reeves, The Beastie Boys, and numerous symphonies. Chuck & Joe’s synergy will keep you on the edge of your seat!
JAZZ at Caffe Lena is made possible by a leadership gift from Anthony R. Ianniello.

Folksinger and civil rights activist Odetta provided musical inspiration for the civil rights movement. It was Dr. King himself who named her The Queen of American Folk Music. With lead singer Gina Coleman channeling Odetta’s majesty and vocal power, Misty Blues’ 2023 tribute album to Odetta spent 24 consecutive weeks at #1 on the Roots Music Chart.
