Greetings – Need a breather this week? Take a couple hours and come on over for a show. Put aside the news cycle and unwind with music. We have a line-up of really fine artists over the next few days and we’d love to see you sitting at one of the tables enjoying yourself.

Our own Reese Fulmer has developed into one of the Capital Region’s stand-out original musicians. His show this weekend is already sold out and, yes, that makes us all pretty proud, doesn’t it? On Thursday we have English singer-songwriter John Smith for this month’s Bright Series show. He’s creating a real stir in the indie folk world. House favorite Professor Louie returns on Saturday, and we wrap up on Sunday with early jazz from Brooklyn’s Lovestruck Balladeers.

Enjoy the leaves, get some rest, and don’t forget to listen to your favorite music.

See you at the show,
Sarah

UK folk troubadour Smith combines lived-in vocals, virtuosic guitar skills, and poignant lyrics of love and loss. Praised as “the future of folk music” by none other than John Renbourn, Smith’s latest album, The Living Kind, has taken a turn toward American styling, with production by Joe Henry. With over two decades of acclaim for his intimate tales of love and loss, Smith’s shows are spellbinding.

Fulmer is on track to be one of the Capital Region’s next big exports. He earned 2023 & 2024 Americana Artist of the Year Eddie Awards and his indie-folk/alt-Americana songs are reaching far afield. He’ll be bringing the full band for tonight’s show, enabling the improvisation and experimentation that makes Carriage House shows so exciting for live audiences. For fans of Wilco and Iron & Wine.
