=WEEK AT A GLANCE=
=HIGHLIGHTS=

This continuing series is hosted by resident composer, pianist and jazz master Chuck Lamb, with support from music producer Joel Moss. Lamb, who has been a member of the Brubeck Brothers Quartet since 2002, is not only an exciting and emotive pianist in his own right, but also a prolific composer of jazz, fusion, classical and world music.

This month features saxophonist, vocalist & U.S. Cultural Ambassador Camille Thurman. “Imagine if Sarah Vaughan played saxophone like Dexter Gordon. That’s approximately the effect when singer and tenor saxophonist Camille Thurman performs.” (Downbeat Magazine)  Also featured is Darrell Green, one of the most sought after drummers on today’s jazz scene. His style is rooted in modern post-bop, but retains elements of his gospel. and classical lineage.

JAZZ at Caffe Lena is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

This Americana trio from Nebraska is enchanting, nostalgic and simply lovely. They draw inspiration from The Decemberists, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Peter, Paul, & Mary, Nickel Creek and Joni Mitchell. Their delicate melodies and descriptive lyrics come from nature, love, home and the road.

MEMBERS’ CORNER
Saratoga has a wealth of restaurants and places where live music happens, but only at Caffe Lena will your dessert and drink be delivered by a volunteer! This past Saturday we were down a staff member and the volunteers served food and drink to two full houses without any supervision. They’re a pretty wonderful group of folks and Caffe Lena wouldn’t be the same without them. Joining the volunteer team is a way to meet other members, enjoy the music and be part of making the show happen. We’d love to welcome you! Please reach out to hannah@caffelena.org to learn more.

Caffe Lena has nearly 1,000 active members. These folks are planting songs and growing community with their annual donations. They also get the best seats in the house, early access to special shows and some neat swag. Learn More
