It’s that special weekend when Caffe Lena & SPAC team up to bring you two afternoons of free music on the lawn! Rain site is Spa Little Theater.

Made possible by the generous support of The Nordlys Foundation, Carl & Terry DeBrule, Allerdice Building Supply and Saratoga Performing Arts Center

Greetings – Are you coming to the festival this weekend? This is the one that usually happens in May, but we decided to try October this year. If the weather doesn’t cooperate we’ll be in the Spa Little Theater at SPAC so this wonderful FREE event is ON rain or shine! We’ve got the ethereal Dreamers’ Circus from Denmark, and anthemic folksinger Crys Matthews, and four other diverse bands. What a great chance to gather and renew our spirits!

The music continues into the evening back at Caffe Lena. Wednesday’s show is one you should definitely check out. Pete Muller is hitting our stage for the first time, bringing his whole band with him. Pete makes crosswords for the NYT, does things with math I can’t begin to explain but has something to do with Wall Street, and created a foundation that helped save dozens of small music venues during the pandemic. Click the photo in the highlights section to sample his music. Scott Cook, sharing the bill, is a returning Lena favorite.

There’s a lot to do in life, but don’t stop making time for live music. It makes such a difference.

We’ve been hearing lately about a number of established folk venues that are really struggling to keep going. This has definitely been a challenging year for musicians and presenters as we work together to rebuild the audience for live music. Caffe Lena is able to keep the stage busy, keep the School of Music growing, maintain important charitable programs like Caffe Lena On the Road and Art of Community–because of your incredible generosity. It would be such a loss to this community and to the future of roots music if you weren’t doing what you do.
Thank You!Caffe Lena has nearly 1,000 active members. These folks are planting songs and growing community with their annual donations. They also get the best seats in the house, early access to special shows and some neat swag. Learn More
