Greetings – Even if you have to hike in from Timbuktu, I guarantee you that this week’s shows will leave you feeling that it was well worth the effort! Bona fide New Orleans funk and jazz, a whole lot of sax, and one of the most affecting young singer-songwriters we’ve met in a long while–all in the best listening room anywhere. But in the spirit of making things as easy as possible for you, here are three parking tips to help you with your visit to Caffe Lena in August:

1. Come early. The track let’s out at 6 PM. Before 6, it’s a lot easier to find a parking spot.
2. It’s a lot less crowded to the east of our block. Circular, LaFayette, Regent and Lake are all good options.
3. The track is closed on Tuesdays, and downtown is far less crowded. We often have great shows on Tuesday night in the summer (like this week’s Jazz night!).
