Greetings – An inmate cares for a retired thoroughbred. A struggling mom regains her health in nature. From rural Haiti to college in Boston . . .  These are true stories of lives changed for the better by local non-profits. This Sunday we’ll present the 2nd Annual TrueSongs: Lyrics of Life so you can witness the strength of neighbors, the power of songs, and the good work being done by non-profits.

This year’s storytellers represent seven high-impact nonprofits: Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, Charlton School, Down Syndrome Aim High, CREATE Community Studios, Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, Huntington’s Disease Society of America (Albany), and To Love a Child.  Our songwriters are Girl Blue, Thomasina Winslow, Mark Tolstrup, Jim Gaudet, Jes Hudak, Kate McDonnell & Lorne Clarke.

This is what creative community is all about. Please join us!

See you at the show,
Sarah

With audio and video, the ever-popular Rochmon Record Club will explore Springsteen’s Darkness On The Edge Of Town. Under a contractual “lockdown,” Bruce went on the road with the E Street Band for 3 years after the release of his epic, career defining album, Born To Run. Legal issues resolved, Bruce and his band went into the studio and recorded arguably his finest album. From “Badlands” to “Candy’s Room” to “Racing In The Street” and “Prove It All Night,” Bruce takes us on a cautionary tale of the price of getting everything you want.
