Caffe Lena’s November Highlights
Your guide for next month’s exciting concerts!

With so much going on at our legendary concert venue and music school, this staff-curated list will help you find your way. This guide includes artists who are brand new to the Caffe Lena stage, local favorites, special performances that might not be on your radar, and concerts that are sure to sell out.

Something New:
The Bright Series: Yasmin Williams: Saturday, November 13th, 8pm – An acoustic fingerstyle guitarist with an unorthodox, modern style. Her lush, fingerstyle tunes have been described as refreshing, relaxing, and unique. She just performed a set for NPR’s Tiny Desk series, and the New York Times ran a feature on her.

Jake Blount: Saturday, November 20th, 8pm – Providence, RI-based singer, banjoist and fiddler digging into the roots of Black and indigenous string band music. You may have heard Jake talking about the legacy of race in American folk music on NPR’s Morning Edition.

Something Local:
Reese Fulmer Album Release: Sunday, November 14th, 3pm – Caffe Lena House Manager Reese Fulmer is an emerging singer-songwriter who is releasing his debut album, thanks to a generous grant from Saratoga Arts. Reese is bringing his full band & special guests!

Annie and the Hedonists: Saturday, November 27th, 8pm – This breezy, fun-loving band led by Annie and Jonny Rosen has taken ownership of Thanksgiving weekend at Lena’s. Sponsored by Eric Gordon.

Something you don’t want to miss:
Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band: Two Shows, Thursday, November 18th 6:00 & 8:30pm While they’re only a trio, this band delivers a sound that lives up to their name, with thick, bass-heavy, blues-based guitar figures and growling vocals accompanied by washboard and drums.

Darrell Scott: Friday, November 19th, 8pm – A singer, songwriter, session musician and four time Grammy nominated Artist who has written songs for some of the biggest names in country music.

Something that’s sure to sell out
Kathy Mattea: Two Shows, Tuesday, November 2nd, 5pm and 8pm – One of the most respected female country stars of her era who was able to bring elements of folk, bluegrass, gospel, and singer/songwriter intimacy to her music.

John Pizzarelli: Two Shows, Sunday, November 28th, 5pm & 8pm – One of today’s premiere interpreters of the Great American Songbook. He is internationally known as a brilliant jazz guitarist with an intimate voice, utterly charming stage presence, and knack for uptempo swing.
