Greetings – We’re honored and excited to have North Carolina bluegrass giants Chatham County Line coming to Caffe Lena this Wednesday! Reserve a table and let their beautiful harmonies and southern strings wash over you as we celebrate the trio’s first visit north since the before times.

This month’s Bright Series (Friday) features Grammy-winner Chance McCoy, formerly of Old Crow Medicine Show. Chance combines the curiosity of a historian, the exquisite standards of a music-producer, the inspiration of a dreamer, and great stagecraft. His songs are powerful and rootsy and full of love of his West Virginia home and its people.

Feeling so lucky for all the good things that happen here at Caffe Lena, and for all you good folks who keep it going and growing. Thank you. This fall is challenging, but we’re getting through thanks to you.

See you at the show,
Sarah

Like so many bluegrass bands these days, Chatham County Line has branched out into acoustic country that swoons, sways and rocks. The title cut from their pandemic release, Strange Fascination, is just gorgeously dreamy and features guest vocals from Sharon Van Etten. Listen above for a real treat.

During the pandemic, Forbert received the 2020 Governor’s Arts Award in his home state of Mississippi, having already been inducted into the  Mississippi Musician’s Hall of Fame in 2016.
