www.mieka.com
Boston's Mieka Pauley draws on blues, classic soul, rock, gospel and folk to create a personal brand of acoustic pop. Hailed by Billboard and the Boston Globe, she was recently awarded Grand Prize, out of a field of 1,800 contestants, in Starbuck's first ever Emerging Artist competition.

www.meghutchinson.com
Meg Hutchinson, also from Boston, has been likened to Beck, Patty Griffin and Sheryl Crow. "In a brooding sea of inscrutable urban songwriters, her whispery, knowable voice feels like it's sharing her secrets with us. Set to elegant, free-floating melodies that feel both modern and rooted, her lyrics are always seeking, if not actually finding, hope at the end of life's dark tunnels." -Boston Globe

Friday, March 17 @ 8 PM MARTHA GALLAGHER & MARIA ZEMANTAUSKI
Saint Patrick's Day Special!
$12/10
www.adkharper.com | www.mariazemantauski.com
With harp strings ringing and clear voice singing, the Adirondack Harper Martha Gallagher and her good friend Flamenco guitarist Maria Zemantauski join together to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with powerfully bold and exquisitely beautiful music on Celtic harp and Flamenco guitar.
This combination of instruments is stunning! And the combination of mischeivous personalities is outrageously delightful! "Zemantauski has continually pushed the boundaries of the possible with her trusty 6-string, blending genres that have little or no business on the same bill, much less in the same song. It's rarely less than electrifying to watch her do it." -Metroland

Saturday, March 18 @ 8 PM TONY TRISCHKA $15/12

"You think about somebody like Miles Davis or John Coltrane, people who learned everything about jazz and then digested it and it came out a new way. I think Tony's very similar; he's that kind of figure in the banjo world."
-Béla Fleck

www.tonytrischka.com
Thirty years after his first solo album release, Tony Triscka continues to be one of the most innovative banjo players on the planet. Far from treating it as a bluegrass novelty, Trischka plays banjo as a serious instrument with what one critic described as "ferocious joy." He has played with all the notable bluegrass artists of the past couple decades, has written scores for Hollywood and Broadway, and along with fronting his own bands has served as accompaniest for John Denver.

Friday, March 24 @ 8 PM HUNGER MOUNTAIN BOYS $12/10
www.hungermountainboys.com
High vocal harmonies, fleet picking, off-the-cuff stage banter and of course, those classic brown suits. The Hunger Mountain Boys have a duet show like no other on the touring scene today and we couldn't be more pleased to bring them to the Caffe's stage for the first time.
In the tradition and spirit of the classic country duets of the 1930s, '40s, and '50s, they capture the authentic early-American country sound and the fiery energy of such legendary duets as the Monroe Brothers and Louvin Brothers.
In addition to recording and performing a variety of old classics and rarities ranging from stringband-style barn-burners to weepy emotional death ballads, the Boys write much of their own heartfelt material, even taking 1st place in the 2003 Mountain Stage New Song contest.

Friday, March 31 @ 8 PM SARAH PEDINOTTI $12/10
www.sarahpedinotti.com
This bright and beautiful hometown girl grew up in her parent's jazz club (One Caroline Jazz & Blues Bistro) learning to sing with the club's bands, listening to tales of the road, and honing her chops under the direction of piano great Lee Shaw (a student of Oscar Peterson).
Sarah is now studying at Boston's Berklee School of Music where she has become an award-winning songwriter and plays around town with her band SKP & the Shaggy Rollers. Her music can be heard on national television and radio and on two albums, the first of which hit number seven in Billboard magazine's editor's picks.
Her sets of original songs, mixed with jazz standards, have a whimsical, retro-pop feel that brings a smile to the face and a swing to the hips.
