Friday, July 8  @  8 PMMICHAEL ECK AND FRIENDS$10/8
www.michaeleck.com
Albany's beloved punker gone acoustic singer-songwriter, Michael Eck, returns to Lena's stage to share an evening of song with musical friends and You. Michael plays original roots-rock that traces the bloodline from Blind Lemon Jefferson to Hank Williams, and from Tim Hardin to Tom Waits. "Even when sung in the first person, Eck's songs feel less confessional than novelistic. It's the musical equivalent of an Edward Hopper painting, with Eck the unseen eye peering in the windows of farmhouses, driver's-side windows and greasy spoons." John Rodat, Metroland.

Joined by her husband, former Steve Earle guitarist Mark Stewart, the duo never fails to provide a captivating, uplifting, and emotionally moving concert.  See: All Music Guide
